In short, I'm moving to Winnipeg within a month.

You could say I was made an offer I couldn't refuse. Or you could say I am broke. Or you could say I am loved by my family. There are two main forces behind my decision to return to Winnipeg. The greatest is the offer my dad made over the Christmas holidays: free tuition toward a Bachelor of Commerce degree with life at home with no expenses.

Why leave now? That's the other main force; I'm broke and the cost of living will be virtually nill at home in Winnipeg. As well, I may have the opportunity to be a Reserve Officer-in-training during the Summer thus make some money. This would mean full-time employment for approximately 4 months, until school started. Continued officer training each Summer would fit in nicely with the academic year. By the end of the Summer of 2005, I would have a B.Comm (a degree at long last) and be a full-fledged Reserve Officer. I could then return to Ontario and find employment with much greater ease. Not only that, but I'd never have to worry about making minimum wage again, ever.

Always the opptimist, I'm told. Never without a plan, some say. And able to do anything I put my mind to, I've even been told. Opptimistic, yes. Without a plan, well no. Able to do anything I put my mind to? I did put my mind to saving up for the move from Winnipeg, in pursuit of the martial arts and here I am putting it on the backburner. Can't win them all eh?
