I've written an article on friends before, but now I'm going to write an article on what is not a friend.

There's that saying, "A friend will bail you out of jail, but a real friend will be there sitting inside with you". This implies a friend ought to be willing to break the law for you, because your bond is more important. I guess that's not a universal rule though...

My girlfriend's ex is psycho. Without going into too much detail, he's sent her to the hospital before and done the whole "I'm sorry babe, I love you, you know I wouldn't try to hurt you" routine. She's not stupid, and had the police hand him a restraining order. She moved, and changed her phone number then made it non-public. Life has been safe for the last year and a half until now.

A "friend" of hers just gave dickhead her number because he sounded so sincere about wanting to get back together with her. What the Hell this ditz was thinking when my girl already has me is still in the air. What I'm still trying to get my brain around is first, how this girl would still be friends with the asshole, second, WHY she would think giving out sensitive contact info without telling or hell even asking, sounds like a good, safe thing to do. He called and now we've got the police checking her place out regularily because he said he wants to see her, even though she pleaded him to stay away, and he will see her no matter what, and they will be together again because they were meant to be. This, after he started the surprise phone call by calling her names, screaming, and threatening her.

I've never wondered if I'd have to use my martial arts to protect someone I care about... on a daily basis. Fortunately, fucktard doesn't know where she lives and she's moving again this summer should all go well. But seriously, what the hell possesses another human being to do something so stupid!? Read the sci-fi book by Timothy Zhan, Angelmass, for an idea on how this guy is nuts. It's about the same all the way around. Here's for a story-book ending folks. I'm going to try to calm down from being totally pissed off at this bitch, now. You all sleep tight and consider who your friends are.
