Well, I've been looking into Cardiff Uni for a while, on the off chance that I'll do my Masters there...consequently, I've come across something interesting.
The train station with the longest name in the world is found in Wales, on the Isle of Angelsey. It is (and I'm not shitting you):
Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwyll-llantisiliogogogoch
I'm not even going to try. It's got some funky translation, which is "the Church of Mary in a white hollow by a hazel tree near a rapid whirlpool by the church of St. Tisilio by a red cave." Just goes to show that the Welsh are imaginative when it comes to naming things.

My Grandfather, on many occassions throughout my childhood, mentioned that station to me. He can pronounce it, too!
