Anyone heard of Hugo Bonjean? No? Didn't think so.

He's an author...he wrote some book. He came into my place o' busniness to do a book signing...started moving shit around...blocking my view...pulling extra copies of his book off the wall and adding them to his table (after his table had already been set up by the nice people who work there)...and, the best part...he put up a HUGE picture of himself to advertise the book. In the pic, he was sitting on a rock, and there were all sorts of words photoshopped in. I didn't bother to read any of them. I was too busy trying too hard not to laugh out loud because the picture made him look constipated.

AND...he said the same thing about his book every damn time, and it always started off with "have you heard about my book? It became a bestseller in Canada last year..."

While there's nothing wrong with advertising, the least he could have done was alter his tone of voice...but no...same tone of voice, same marketing ploy...

And THEN he went and made some of the booksellers fetch him coffee from the 'Shmucks next door. As if letting him make money by being there wasn't good enough.

Cor. I really wanted to pop his ego...but that would get me fired. >:)
