Go Canada Go! This is a Bad Olymipics

There are a few things that are bothering me about the Olympics right now, and a few things that I think are bothering a few other people too.

And, strangely enough, none are the fact that Canada currently has zero medals.

Lets start off with the opening ceremonies, and the fact that some of the fireworks were in fact fake. Lets face it, people who love pyrotechnics get pissy when they find out the pyro's have been faked. Yeah, I'm one of them.

Lets go on to the fact that a young child singer was actually lip syncing because the real child who sang "wasn't pretty enough" - You know what? If that real child sang, half the world would've been brought to tears had the original singer actually been the one "singing" during the ceremonies.

How about this "fast pool" Yeah, I'm sick of that too. You know what a "fast pool" means? It means the water isn't water. Or at least not all water. All these swimming records come to question what's in the pool. People can swim faster given certain circumstances. So my question is, what's in there that makes it fast?

Wait, what about that 13, er, i mean 14, eer.. no she's 16! yeah, that's right. The 16 year old Chinese gymnastic superstar - oh right, you have to be 16 to compete in the Olympics so what's a forged document anyway? It doesn't matter that a few months ago a chinese newspaper reported her as 13. They were clearly wrong.

Oh how the endless conspiracies in making china look like a good nation continue. Personally, I have no issues with them -- but when things like this constantly pop up, and will continue to do so for the next few months, long after the game, I have no choice but to question things.

I somehow missed this post entirely, yet managed to comment on the one afterwards. The olympics were a bloody crock of shit. They're so full of cheating (by athletes and their counties respectively) it's not even worth it any more.

How about we just ditch all the testing and let everyone cheat as much as they want. Let the cyborgs into the games while you're at it. Teach them silly humans they've got nothing!
